Dr. Ahmed Gomaa Abdelhamid est un chercheur égyptien, spécialiste de codicologie. Ses recherches portent sur la topographie et la cartographie. Il travaille à al-Azhar, en lien avec l’Institut dominicain d’études orientales (Idéo). Il a publié plusieurs ouvrages à l’Institut français d’archéologie orientale (Ifao) et à l’Orient-Institut de Beyrouth.
