The Bulletin archéologique des Écoles françaises à l’étranger has a double role. The result of close technical and scientific cooperation between the different Écoles françaises abroad, it ensures the dissemination of the data they produce, thus becoming an instrument for promoting the Network they represent. By promoting the circulation of data, their traceability, their reuse and even their sharing, the Bulletin archéologique supports the creation of new practices to increase access to this data and move towards Open Science.
Created in 2020, the Bulletin archéologique des Écoles françaises à l’étranger offers contributions from the École française d’Athènes, the École française de Rome, the Institut français d’archéologie orientale, the École française d’Extrême-Orient and the Casa de Velázquez, united within the Réseau des Écoles françaises à l’étranger. The Bulletin therefore combines all the new archaeological research carried out by these institutions, around the Mediterranean basin but also in the Balkans, in India and Asia, in an exclusively online journal, which is multilingual and follows the continuous publication model.
